Scott and Mary Cooper are the proud owners of Lawn Doctor of Greater Columbus, a trusted lawn care company dedicated to enhancing the beauty, health, and vitality of lawns throughout Central Ohio. Together, they bring a unique blend of business expertise, leadership, and community commitment that has helped the company grow into a respected local brand.
Scott Cooper brings decades of business experience and strategic leadership to Lawn Doctor of Greater Columbus. He earned a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Economics from The Ohio State University, followed by an MBA from Franklin University. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Scott has called Columbus home since 1984.
In addition to leading the company, Scott serves on Lawn Doctor’s President’s Advisory Council (PAC), where he represents franchise owners across a three-state region. His industry knowledge and leadership insights have been featured in respected publications including Columbus Business First and Bizjournals. Scott is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while helping homeowners create healthier, greener outdoor spaces.
Mary Cooper has co-owned Lawn Doctor of Greater Columbus alongside Scott since 2014. She brings extensive professional experience from a successful career in the insurance industry, where she worked as both an Underwriter and Customer Service Representative for a local agency. After retiring from the insurance sector, Mary transitioned full-time into the family business, where she oversees administrative operations and leads the company’s Performance Management program through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
Outside of work, Mary enjoys gardening, practicing hot yoga, and spending time with the family’s dogs. She and Scott are proud parents of three adult children and are excitedly looking forward to welcoming their first grandchild.
Together, Scott and Mary combine their professional expertise, shared values, and passion for service to lead Lawn Doctor of Greater Columbus. Their dedication to quality lawn care, customer satisfaction, and community involvement continues to make a lasting impact across the neighborhoods they proudly serve.
