There has been a lot of scary mosquito news lately – especially regarding the Zika Virus.
Lawn Doctor’s Yard Armour programs can go a long way towards alleviating your mosquito concerns. In the meantime, however, there’s one simple task you can do right now: empty receptacles of standing water.
To help reduce the chance that dangerous mosquitoes will get too close to home, be vigilant about dumping any standing water every few days. You can find it watering cans, clogged gutters, open trash cans, fountains/bird baths, planter saucers and flower pots, old tires, kiddie pools, buckets, pails and more.
You should also tighten up sagging tarps, to prevent water from collecting in folds and low areas. Tarps may cover woodbins, boats, jet skis, pools, patio furniture and outdoor grills. Download our mosquito fact sheet here.
