“Last year our lawn was a disaster,” Aimee said. “I’d had all these amazing plans – we were going to have an Alice in Wonderland party, where everyone wearing costumes – but then I went out and really looked at the yard. We’d been having a local kid come out and mow the grass each week, so I assumed things would be just fine. But things were not just fine.”
Aimee’s yard had big brown patches where her children and dog played. “There was absolutely no grass growing at all,” she said with a laugh. “They had the area around the swing set worn down to the bare dirt. You don’t even want to know what it looked like where they were riding their bikes!”
Weeds were also an issue. “Dandelions I don’t actually care about,” Aimee said. “They’re cute and cheerful. But we didn’t really have dandelions. We have all these nasty picky plants that grow ten times faster than any of the grass – even when they’re mowed short, you don’t want to step on them.”
Aimee got in touch with her local Marshfield lawn service to develop a plan to transform her lawn. “I wanted the weeds gone and the grass back,” she said. “Really vibrant green grass, that’s tough enough to stand up to my kids and pretty enough for entertaining. And with all these headlines about Ticks and the Zika virus? I’d like the lawn to be pest free as well.”
“Last year, the party was a no-go,” Aimee said. “But now that I have professionals planting grass, getting rid of the weeds, and giving me a yard I can be proud of, it’s time to start planning. This year, our party’s going to happen!”
