“This is the first summer I’ve had my stepson Jay living with us,” Gracie said. “He’s a sweet kid, but he’s spent his entire life living in very urban environments. So I was surprised when he said he was going to take care of all of our lawn mowing needs.”
Jay spent hours carefully cutting the grass around his parents’ Cape Cod home. “He did a good job, for his first time,” Gracie said. “I was telling him that, and then pointed out some ways he could improve the next time.” She laughed. “His face absolutely fell. ‘What do you mean, next time?’ he asked me. Apparently he didn’t know that grass kept growing all summer long.”
Rather than rely on a reluctant teenager to keep her lawn looking great, Gracie called her Cape Cod lawn service to handle the regular yard upkeep. “They come in each week and do their thing,” she said. “The grass is cut, the edges all look fantastic, and it’s absolutely stress free for me. Jay is only here for a few weeks, and I’d rather spend that time having fun time with him, creating some positive memories together.” She smiled. “Of course, I’ll always remember how devastated he was to learn that cutting the grass isn’t really a one-and-done deal.”
Another reason Gracie was happy to bring in a Cape Cod lawn service has to do with pest control. “I’m not particularly worried about Zika,” she said, “Even though it’s in the headlines, I don’t think it will be a big concern up here. What I stress out over is Lyme Disease. Ticks are a real problem, and I definitely don’t want them in my lawn.” Tick control services make it easier for Gracie, Jay and the rest of the family to enjoy their summer together outside in beautiful Cape Cod.
