Yes, all the products we use are safe for you and your pets. But we do recommend keeping them off the grass after treatment for at least 30 minutes. We encourage you to water in the areas where your pets like to go.
For best results, we recommend waiting at least 6 hours before watering or mowing after an application.
No herbicide produces 100% weed control. You can expect 90+% treatment following a single application. We choose the best herbicides to use based on all factors considered including time of year, outside temperature, turf type, condition of turf, to name a few.
We intentionally skip areas with new sod. This is because new sod needs several weeks to root in completely before any herbicide can be applied.
Custom Care services are “add-on” services that we offer to enhance the health and/or appearance of the customer’s lawn. Certain custom care services also address insect control, disease/fungus, and other issues that appear in customer’s lawns. Feel free to give us a call to learn more about additional services that can be added on.
These are not services we offer. Instead, we want to help you maintain the health and life of your grass and provide treatment for your lawn to flourish.
You can expect to see results in your lawn around the 2-week mark. This includes dying weeds, as well as greener, healthier grass.
No, but lawncare is a long-term process to maintain the health and appearance of your lawn. By being on a program, you are able to stay proactive and keep your grass green and healthy. A reactive response is not as easy to fix. Once the damage of cold temperatures or insect damage sets in, it takes longer for our team to get your yard back to normal
We offer Credit Card on file, paid in full with a discount, or an installment program. Please call if you need more information.
While Lawn Doctor specializes in the treatment and health of your grass, we do not provide maintenance services, such as mowing.
Yes. Our Bed Weed Control Program is specifically designed for beds only and is a 5-step program.
Your initial service will be performed within 7 to 10 days from account activation. Lawn care services are typically 4 to 6 weeks apart and are scheduled automatically. Upon request, we can notify you by email or text the day prior to service if you need to secure pets or prepare the areas for treatment.
No. We will email you after our visit to let you know about the service, we provided that day. We will also call or text you if your technician notices any issues in your lawn.
No. As long as the grass isn’t too long and there isn’t debris on the lawn, you don’t have to lift a finger. The After Service Summary email will specify after-care instructions, such as how much to water and when to mow the lawn.
We recommend waiting to resume normal activity on the lawn until the lawn has time to dry. This can vary season to season and your technician will let you know specific details about this.
In most cases we recommend watering in the product anyway, so consider this free irrigation! However, if downpours occur immediately after an application, it’s possible the weed control product may not have had time to dry. If the weeds don’t show signs of drying after 14 to 21 days, simply call us!
All of our treatment should be watered in after they’ve had time to dry from the initial application. In dry summers, we recommend watering less often but for longer periods of time to ensure a deep drench. Generally speaking, you should aim to water the lawn 1 to 2 inches per week for optimal results.
