Deep Root Feed is a type of treatment that is designed specifically for trees and shrubs. This process involves injecting a specialized fertilizer mixture 4 to 12 inches deep into the root system of the plant. The goal of this treatment is to deliver nutrients to the tree’s root system so the tree can maintain a fresh, healthy appearance. Trees and shrubs need this treatment to break up the soil, improve aeration and increase air filtration. Root feeding is recommended at least once a year to maintain a healthy tree. This treatment works well on most every plant, but blooming plants have the most visible results. We encourage root feeding for trees that have physical damage such as poor color, diseased foliage, or a lack of blossoms. This treatment helps with overall appearance, and root sustainability. Signs of improved tree and shrub health can be seen as early as 60 days after treatment, and typically no later than 120 days. At Lawn Doctor, we strive to go above and beyond for each of our customers and their lawns. Trees and shrubs are a critical part of what we do to maintain tree growth, grass growth, and a beautiful lawn.
