Lawn Doctor DC Metro is a family run business with Joe Hodgson at the helm. Always interested in Landscaping Design and Horticulture, Joe purchased his first Lawn Doctor Franchise during the 80’s and now heads up 7 localities in the DC Metro area. He holds a true passion for lawns, plants and people.
Joe’s kids have all been involved in the business at some time or another and a few of them have gone on to other things – taking their knowledge of lawn care and horticulture with them. Tim, nephew, worked in the Peace Corps in Paraguay for a number of years, teaching farmers how to increase their crop yields and fight infestation. Daughter, Jenny, is currently in Africa, on her second stint teaching and helping the locals.
Closer to home, sons Mike and James are currently working within the business and can be seen on customers’ lawns on a regular basis. Mike has now moved into a more managerial role and misses his days spent servicing lawns. However, he grabs the change to provide service and meet with our customers any chance he gets. Nick, the fittest of a fit bunch, helps out periodically between his time with Cross Fit gym and college courses. He would like to create some environmentally friendly programs that we would add in the future. Kristi, real head of the Hodgson household, is also our Office Manager and heads up our Customer Service Team of which we are justifiably proud.
With our new website offering 60 Second Quotes, our Customer Assisted Website offering in depth information, ordering abilities and payment options available 24 hours a day, and our office which is open daily from 9am – 4pm (and at other times as necessary dependent upon season), we have something for everyone.
