WITHOUT H2O, I WON’T GROW
WATER, WATER, WATER! Keep me moist with a light shower (morning is best, afternoon is okay, never in the evening). Sprinkle enough to moisten the upper 1” of soil so I don’t dry out (about 15 minutes per section of lawn). Keep this up for several weeks so all of us can germinate, giving you healthy, hardy new turf. Be patient! Water every day and you will be rewarded with a richer, thicker lawn.
MOW WHEN I GROW
By watering regularly and sufficiently, I will become strong and sprout out of the ground. When I get to be 3 to 4 inches in height, you can begin to mow me. Keep your mower blades well-sharpened so I am not torn or pulled from the soil. You’ve helped me come so far, continue to protect me from damage.
AVOID A MISTAKE, CONTINUE TO RAKE
When I’m a delicate seedling, I need sun, water and nutrients to keep growing healthy. Rake leaves lightly when they cover me so I am not smothered.
