A quick ALERT about ticks this spring!

With the mild winter and warmer than normal Spring temperatures, ticks are likely to be much more active than in past seasons. March and April are a time of heavy tick activity and new tick “nymph” proliferation.

Please make sure to wear light-colored clothing with long sleeves, long pants, socks, etc in wooded areas or areas with long grass/low shrubs.

Please make sure to check your body fully to check for ticks after being outside at this time of year (see the graphic above for suggestions).
