Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Lawn Doctor different from the competition?

We use our own ground-metered equipment that ensures an even application regardless of how fast or slow the machine is moving. These machines also allow the technician to customize the products on each lawn. There is no batch mixing giving everyone the same mix regardless of what is needed.

Each office is locally owned and operated so you can always speak directly to the owner. We have the support of a large company but the benefits of a small Mom & Pop office.

We are very flexible in setting up the lawn care you want and the one that fits your lawn needs and budget.

Our technicians have extensive experience and are all certified by the state of Pennsylvania. They must maintain this certification by attending ongoing training every year.

We will always meet with you on your property either for the initial estimate or for any questions you may have.

Do I need to be home for the applications?

No. We will leave a notice on the door for you with the date, time, and a list of the services performed.

Does Lawn Doctor offer a guarantee?

Absolutely! If you are not satisfied with an application, we will reapply that application or refund the price of that application.

When should I see results from a weed control application?

Generally weeds will start to twist and curl in 14-21 days, depending on weather conditions. It will take 21 days for the weeds to completely die.

How safe are your products for children and pets?

The products we use will not pose any undue risk. They are all registered for use on home lawns.

How long do I have to stay off my property after an application?

If we used a liquid weed control we ask that you stay off the lawn until it dries, which is usually a couple of hours. If we have only applied fertilizer or power seeded you may used the lawn immediately.

How long after an application do I need to wait to cut my lawn?

Your lawn can be cut 24 hours after an application if we applied weed control. If no weed control was used it can be cut right away.

Since my neighbor’s lawn is full of weeds, will that affect the results on my lawn?

This can make our job more difficult but we will make the necessary adjustments. Many of our properties will actually have a visible line between their lawn and their neighbor’s lawn.
