James is a proud husband, father, and Central Valley native. He earned his nursing degree and spent over a decade in the healthcare field before transitioning into entrepreneurship, where he built successful care-based businesses from the ground up. James comes from a close-knit family and is driven by faith, discipline, and community service. Outside of work, he enjoys Muay Thai, fitness, and personal development. He’s passionate about mentorship, fitness, and creating generational impact through business. When he’s not working or training, you’ll find him spending quality time with his family or reading a good book on leadership or growth.

James has lived in the Central Valley for over 20 years. What were the reasons/motivations that prompted you to start your own business? What is the most exciting thing about your new business venture?
James comes from a service-oriented background in healthcare and residential care. After successfully launching assisted living and behavioral group home businesses, he wanted to expand into home services while maintaining his mission of helping others. Lawn Doctor allowed him to combine professionalism, scalability, and impact. What excites him most is the opportunity to bring a white-glove, tech-driven customer experience to an industry that’s often overlooked — and to create career pathways for local workers.
