Through years of sampling, we have found that lawns in the Charleston area can have a high or a low pH. Therefore, we don\u2019t recommend adding amenities without a soil test. However, since we have been a local business for over 30 years, we could make an educated guess based on your specific location, if you choose not to get a sample. The soil pH determines how well the nutrients will be available to the turf grass. Note; they are not easy to see once we spread it on the lawn. Soil sampling can be done at anytime during the year. However, we recommend taking soil samples in the beginning of the year during service #1, and following up with the recommendations on the #2 and #3 services.
