They came out to do an inspection and see why our grass wouldn\u2019t grow. It turns out we have heavily compacted soil &#8211; that\u2019s the primary problem &#8211; and poor soil nutrition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2024 is the Year of Lawn Aeration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heavily compacted soil is a common landscape issue in the Holbrook area. This is due to a number of factors, including the naturally occurring clay in the soil as well as historical patterns of vehicle traffic in recently built areas. When land has weight on it for some time, it can get pressed into very hard patches that are poor for grass growth.<\/p>\n<p>The remedy for heavily compacted soil is lawn aeration. Aeration is the process of loosening compacted soil through the process of introducing thousands of tiny holes into the ground. Each hole is about the size of a pencil eraser. A large machine is used to do this, and the process is entirely chemical free. Lawn aeration is family and pet safe.<\/p>\n<p>Lawn aeration makes it possible for grass to grow. In addition to loosening the soil, lawn aeration makes it much easier for oxygen, water, and nutrition to make it below the surface of the soil. This is essential for grass growth.
