Lawn Doctor of Maple Grove-Plymouth is locally owned and operated by Minnesota native Deb Smith. Deb's goal for her business to provide exceptional customer service using products she trusts. "In providing lawn care and pest control services, my customers can enjoy their landscapes and have the time to share them with family and friends," Deb says. "Here in Minnesota, we enjoy our outdoors during the warm months and take every opportunity to be outside." She continues, "Twin Cities' area residents are very health conscience, active people. So I make a point of offering natural alternatives for lawn care and pest control."
Deb received a degree from the University of Minnesota in Economics and Business management, and worked in the business world for almost a decade. She then began taking horticulture classes, which culminated in a degree in Green House Management and Horticulture from Hennepin Technical College. She worked at the school for two years and spent summers as a professional gardener. After leaving the school, Deb worked full-time for a professional gardening company, until she decided that becoming a Lawn Doctor business owner was the next career move for her.
Deb enjoys spending her spare time working in her own garden, woodworking, and relaxing with family and friends. Summers are spent on the boat on Lake Minnetonka and the various lakes around the Twin Cities. Deb and her husband, Pat, also like to spend time at their cabin, north of Grand Rapids; fishing, ATVing, golfing and unwinding by the fire.
Supporting animal sanctuaries is near and dear to Deb's heart, and she currently volunteers regularly at The Wildcat Sanctuary. Deb and Pat are both animal lovers, and have three much-beloved cats, Jack, Pebbles and Betty (aka PB&J).
