Aim for about one inch of water, one time per week.<\/p>\nSteer clear from mid-summer fertilizing. <\/strong>If your lawn is starting to wilt during summer, you might be tempted to break out the fertilizer. Deal with brown patch.<\/strong> Since this\u00a0deadly disease occurs during periods of hot temperatures and humidity, it can\u00a0often be mistaken for drought or heat stress. But when you’re noticing dead and dying spots in your lawn that are circular in shape, it’s brown patch and you need to act fast. To treat it, avoid watering your lawn at night and walking on the infected areas.<\/p>\nAlso, fertilize with a good blend of\u00a0nitrogen and potassium to boost resistance to fungal infections.
