Jay spent hours carefully cutting the grass around his parents\u2019 Cape Cod home. \u201cHe did a good job, for his first time,\u201d Gracie said. \u201cI was telling him that, and then pointed out some ways he could improve the next time.\u201d She laughed. \u201cHis face absolutely fell. \u2018What do you mean, next time?\u2019 he asked me. Apparently he didn\u2019t know that grass kept growing all summer long.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rather than rely on a reluctant teenager to keep her lawn looking great, Gracie called her Cape Cod lawn service to handle the regular yard upkeep. \u201cThey come in each week and do their thing,\u201d she said. \u201cThe grass is cut, the edges all look fantastic, and it\u2019s absolutely stress free for me. Jay is only here for a few weeks, and I\u2019d rather spend that time having fun time with him, creating some positive memories together.\u201d She smiled. \u201cOf course, I\u2019ll always remember how devastated he was to learn that cutting the grass isn\u2019t really a one-and-done deal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Another reason Gracie was happy to bring in a Cape Cod lawn service has to do with pest control. \u201cI\u2019m not particularly worried about Zika,\u201d she said, \u201cEven though it\u2019s in the headlines, I don\u2019t think it will be a big concern up here.
